Tortuga is a brand I’ve been working with for a few years now. I’ve photographed their backpacks in Nicaragua, Bulgaria, Greece, and a handful of other places in between—basically, wherever I’ve been living or traveling with a camera in one hand and their gear on my back.

What’s been great about working with Tortuga is that the shoots have never felt like traditional product photography. The bags are part of the journey. Whether I’m hiking through volcanic trails on Ometepe or weaving through city streets in Sofia, the photos happen along the way. No studios. Just real light, real locations, and the kind of moments you only get when you’re actually using the thing you’re photographing.
